Robert 'Bob' Sloan

     Robert Ray "Bob" Sloan, 51, of Parma, died Saturday, October 1, 1994, at the Caldwell hospital of natural causes.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday Oct. 6 at the Parma High School gym. Pastor Stephen Jahn of Deer Flat Free Methodist Church, Caldwell, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Lower Boise Cemetery, near Parma, Idaho, with Father Enrique Terriquez of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell, officiating, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Bob was born January 12, 1943, in Caldwell, the eldest son of Delbert and Irene Sloan of Parma.  He was reared and educated in the Parma area.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in education from the University of Idaho and a Master of Arts from Eastern Oregon State College.  He taught 5th and 6th grades in Parma for 29 years.
    He loved sports and coached Junior High and High School students for many years.  Recently, he volunteered his time to coach youth basketball.
    Bob married Becky Paul on July 21, 1972.  Together they had three children Greg, 16: Christina, 14; and Robbie, 12. Bob will be remembered for his love for his family and many contributions to his community.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Becky; his mother, Irene, sons, Greg and Robbie; a daughter, Christina; brothers Dennis, Ron and Jerry; and sister, Debra Etcheson.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert.
    Friends may call today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Memorials may be given to a favorite charity.
