Lennie Smith

     Services for Lennie M. Smith, 79, Parma Route 3, who died Thursday Aug. 4 at home of natural causes, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma, by the Rev. William C. Wartes of the Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell.  Interment will follow at the Roswell Cemetery.
    She was born April 7, 1904 at Bloomington, Neb.  She married Chester K. Smith on Sept. 17, 1926 at Sidney, Neb.  In February of 1928, they moved to Wendell.  They lived in the Wendell, Gooding and Camas County areas until April of 1945.
    She and her husband moved to Parma in 1946, where they have since resided.  She worked for the J.R. Simplot Co. for 18 years.  She was an enthusiastic sports and school activities fan while her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children attended Parma schools.
    She was a member of the neighborhood Jolly Jane Club and attended the Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church in Roswell.
    She is survived by her husband of Parma; one son, C.K. Smith Jr., Boise; four daughters, Pearle Abbott, Parma, Marilynn Slabaugh, Emmett, Maxine Gale, Boise, and LaRayne Blamires, Nampa; one brother; two sisters; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son, Max.
    The family suggests that memorials be made to the Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell.  Friends may call at the chapel in Parma today from 4 until 6 p.m.
