Louise Sliker, 69, of Roswell, died Friday, Sept. 1, 1995, at
home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, at Sterry Memorial Presbyterian
Church, Roswell. Rev. Philip Hughes will officiate.
Internment will follow at the Roswell Cemetery.
Mrs. Sliker was born April 22, 1926, at Hampton, New Jersey,
to Joseph and Ethel McLain Todd. She was raised and
educated in Bayonne, New Jersey, and married David Sliker,
August 4, 1945, in Hampton, New Jersey. They made their
home in High-Bridge, New Jersey, until coming to the Roswell
area in 1979, where they have since resided.
Mrs. Sliker was a member of Sterry Memorial Presbyterian
Church where she was active in the Bible study group. She was
also a member of Hobart Chapter #63, Order of the Eastern Star
in Hiqh-Bridge, New Jersey, Parma Garden Club, and served as
Secretary for Women's Association for Sterry Memorial
Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her
husband, Doug Sliker of Roswell; three daughters and
sons-in-law, Kathleen and James Bachman of Mount Joy,
Pennsylvania, Judy and John Balcerzak of Nampa and Rebecca and
Don Markle of Asbury, New Jersey; and seven grandchildren, one
grandson whom they raised, Jeffrey Adams; Rachel and Jacob
Balcerzak; Jessica and Megan Markle.
Flowers may be sent or memorials made to the Sterry Memorial
Presbyterian Church, Roswell, or to the Horizon Hospice in
Caldwell. |
