L. Delbert Sloan

    Services for L. Delbert Sloan, 66, Parma, who died Friday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Parma with the Rev. Robert Obenchain of the Roswell Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at the Roswell Cemetery.
    Sloan was born May 24, 1915 at Vanzant, Mo., where he was raised and educated.  He married Mary Irene Sparks on Feb. 29, 1942 in Caldwell.  The couple lived in the Parma area where Sloan was a farmer.
    Sloan is survived by his wife of Parma, one daughter, Debra Etcheson, Parma; four sons, Robert and Dennis Sloan, both of Parma; Ron Sloan, Caldwell; and Jerry Sloan, Kuna; two sisters, Viaetta Boltjes, Laucadia, Calif.; and Evelena Graton, Stockton, Calif.; two half brothers, Bill Sloan, St. Louis, Mo., and Tim Sloan, Mountain Grove, Mo.; three half sisters, Audra Macomber, Springfield, Mo., Lida Wheat, Vanzant, Mo., and Lorene Slaon, West Plains, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
