John T. Shea

    NAMPA — Requiem Mass for John T. Shea, 90, Murphy, who died Friday in a Nampa nursing home, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. Henry McCloskey. Interment will be at Mount Calvary. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Shepherd Chapel. The cortege will leave the chapel at 10:15 a.m. Monday.
    Mr. Shea was born Aug. 19, 1879, at Silver City and was reared there and at Jordan Valley. He was married to Myrtle Hastings at Silver City on Feb. 16, 1908. They ranched in the Silver City-Jordan Valley area for a number of years. He served as county assessor at Silver City an started and operated the Owyhee County Abstract Office at Silver City and Murphy from 1918 to 1945. He had been ill for three years. His wife died April 10, 1959. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
    He is survived by four sisters, Agnes Bowden, Mrs. Ellen Mills, Mrs. Aileen Staples and Mrs. Tom Hardman of Jordan Valley, and by several nieces and nephews.
