George Speedy

      Services for George W. Speedy, 70, Middleton, who died Thursday, Sept. 27, at a Boise hospital will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the First Baptist Church, Middleton.  Pastor Wendall Brandom will officiate.
    Interment will follow at the Middleton Cemetery under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr. Speedy was born July 8, 1914 at Saltsburg Pa., and moved with his family at an early age to Warren, Ohio, where he was reared and educated.  He married Kathleen Freer on Nov. 29, 1933 at Saltsburg and the couple made their home in Warren, Ohio until 1959.
    During World War II he served with the U.S. Navy and had worked as a well-driller in several states.  They moved to Middleton in 1978 where they have since resided.
    He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Middleton and the American Legion.
    He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, Middleton; two sons, Jesse Wells Bonsall, Ca., and James Speedy of Boise; a daughter, Nancy Bingham, Emmett, one brother, Wilson Speedy, Wilmerding, Penn.; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents one brother and one sister.
