Clark Smith

    Graveside services for A. Clark Smith, 88, of Talent, Ore., formerly of Melba, who died Friday, June 13, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Greenleaf Cemetery, under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Directors of Ashland, Ore.
    Mr. Smith was born July 15, 1897, in Allen, Neb.
    He married Elizabeth N. Nelson June 5, 1921, at Greenleaf.  She died in March 1968.
    He married Grace Millage Sept. 29, 1968, at Ashland, Ore.
    He has pastored six Friends churches over a period of 47 years, including the church in Melba, which he began in 1927.  He retired in 1974.
    He is survived by his wife of Talent; a son, Loren E. Smith of Everett, Wash.; a daughter, Kathleen S. Repp of Boise; a brother, George Smith of Nampa; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers.
    Memorials may be made to the Talent Friends Church, 50 Talent Ave., Talent, Ore. 97540.
