Wilma Higgins

    Wilma M. Higgins, 82, of Parma, died Monday, December 2, 1991, at a Greenleaf shelter home of natural causes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 1991, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.  Pastor Neil Evans of the Nyssa Baptist Fellowship and Pastor Lyle Higgins of Nampa, ID., will officiate with burial following at the Parma Cemetery, Parma.
    Mrs. Higgins was born June 14, 1909, at Mount Ayr, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Effie Daily Venn.  She married Jesse L. Higgins September 2, 1925, at Lamar, CO.  They farmed in Lamar until moving to the Big Bend area in 1938, where they farmed for 6 years, later moving to the Roswell area, where they farmed for 28 years.
    She is survived by 3 daughters and 4 sons-in-law, Mildred and Arden Beckley of Waterville, WA., Joyce and Shorty Hall of Parma, ID., Anna and Stan Byers of Ontario, OR., and Jim Hollingsworth of Boise,, ID.; a brother, Winnie Venn of Lamar, CO.; 5 sisters, Marie Bishop and Lois Smith of Joshua Tree, CO., Elizabeth Reynolds of Las Animas, CO., Golda Ellenberger and Vesta Frank of Englewood, CO.; I5 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
