Walter Fine

    Services for Walter Lee Fine, 90, of Melba, who died on Monday , June 23, in a Nampa care center, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Melba Community Baptist Church.
    The Rev. J. Harley Adams, retired pastor of the Melba Friends Church, and Dr. Fred Knight, pastor of the Melba church, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Melba Cemetery.  Services and burial are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mr. Fine was born on Feb. 25, 1896, in Cedar Creek, Mo., to Lee and Belle Fine.  He was reared and educated at Cedar Creek.  He married Dona Hendryx on Feb. 22, 1914, in Missouri.  In 1935 they moved to Melba where they farmed for many years.  Mrs. Fine died in 1974.
    He was a member of the Melba Community Baptist Church.  He loved to go fishing.
    He is survived by one son, Floyd Fine of Melba; four daughters, Argie Brown of Forsyth, Mo., Arkie Brazeal of Springfield, Mo, Jonni Wernick of Tacoma, Wash., and Evelyn Cooper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Willie Fine of Branson, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m., all day Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Melba Community Baptist Church, Melba, Idaho 83641.
