Graveside services for Wesley Clayton Florom, 44, of Caldwell,
who died Wednesday, Aug. 21, at home of natural causes, will
be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Middleton Cemetery.
The Rev. Earl D. Shaffer of the Oregon Trail Church of God,
Caldwell, will officiate, under the direction of the Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Florom was born Dec. 31, 1940, at Curtis, Neb. He
moved with his family to Nampa where he was reared and
educated. He served in the navy in the mid 1950s.
The was medically discharged in 1957, and returned to Nampa.
He married JoAnn Cofelt and they were later divorced.
He married Becky Doty on Dec. 18, 1981, at Reno, Nev.
He was currently working at a lumber mill in California.
He had previously worked for Hoff Forest Products and Wirth
Lumber Company at Caldwell for several years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the
Idaho Trapper's Association.
He is survived by his wife of Caldwell, five sons, Randy
White of Caldwell, John Florom of Caldwell, Michael Florom of
Dinuba, Calif., Wesley Florom Jr. of Caldwell and Sean Garland
of Caldwell; two daughters, Rose Beam of Dinuba, Calif.,
Dorothy Florom of Lander, Wyo.; his mother, Goldie Slonecker
of Nampa; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Doty of Caldwell; four brothers, Charles Florom of
Sacramento, Calif., and Jack, Dan and Jim Slonecker, all of
Nampa; two sisters, Pat Hill of Caldwell and Deann Meyers; and
four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Slonecker,; and
one grandchild.
Friends may call at the chapel Monday from 3 to 9 p.m.
