Victorio C. Garza, 93,
of Nampa, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994, at the Nampa
hospital. Vigil Services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Dec.
2, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 3,
at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in
Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
Victorio was born Dec. 25, 1900, in Puruandiro, Mich.,
Mexico, and came to the United States in 1915. He lived in
many different places in the U.S. until settling in Nevada for
a few years where he worked with the Western Pacific Railroad.
While in Nevada, Victorio met his wife of fifty-six
years, Virginia Francis Sanchez. They were married Oct. 15,
1938, at Elko, Nev. Victorio and his family moved to Idaho
when he retired. The rest of his years were spent with his
family, resting and watching them grow.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Nampa; his
daughter and her husband, Helen and Emilio Aguirre of Nampa;
two grandsons, Richard Garza and Steven and his wife, TaLeetha
Garza, of Nampa; and six great-grandchildren all of Nampa.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until
1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa. |
