Truman Martin

    Funeral services for Truman C. Martin, 61, Parma, who died of natural causes Sunday in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Daken Funeral Chapel, Parma, by the Rev. Paul Yaden of Parma United Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow in Parma Cemetery.
    He was born September 12, 1919 in Republican City, Nebraska to Claude and Iona Dyer Martin. He was reared and educated in Republican City. He moved to Parma at age 18. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Forest Service in Pierce in 1940. He served in the Army during World War II, serving in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He later worked for Watson Packaging Co.
    He is survived by a brother, Francis of Pendleton, Oregon; a sister, Ruth Berry of Atkinson, Nebraska; a stepsister, Vivian Portenier of Caldwell; two stepbrothers, Lawrence Tenborg of Concrete, Washington and Roy Tenborg of Solon, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call in Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma, today from 3 to 7 p.m.
