Services for Thelma Gross,
77, of Wilder Route 2, who died Sunday, March 18, at her home,
will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wilder United
Methodist Church.
The Rev. Sue Nelson Caille will officiate. Interment will
follow in the Wilder Cemetery, under the direction of Flahiff
Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
Mrs. Gross was born Feb. 22, 1907, at Mullen, Neb., where
she was reared ad (sic) educated. She taught school prior to
her marriage to William "Jack" Gross on Dec. 22, 1927, at
Broken Bow, Neb.
They lived in Nebraska and Colorado until moving to Wilder
in 1941 where they had since farmed. Mr. Gross died in 1983.
She was a former member of the Fargo Grange and the Wilder
Homemakers Club.
She is survived by three sons, William of Laguna Beach,
Calif., Charles of Wilder and Richard Gross of Minden, Nev.;
two brothers, Charles Folk of Cody, Neb., and Leonard Folk of
Sumter, S.C.; four sisters, Helen Mills of Gresham, Ore.,
Irene Lake of Hebron, Neb., Mildred Wright of Lincoln, Neb.,
and Ethel Patterson of Palo Cedro, Calif.; seven
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell,
Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Children's Home in
Boise; or to a favorite charity. |
