Ida Riordan

     Rosary for Ida A. Riordan, 92, 247 Rowena, Nampa, who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, at home, will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at S. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M.
    Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
    She was born Jan. 13, 891, in Pembina County, Midland Township, N.D., the daughter of Samuel and Emily Childerhose Hurst.  She attended school in St. Thomas and graduated from Valley City State College.  She taught school in North Dakota and at Shelley, Idaho.
    She married Benjamin R. Riordan of Plymouth, Wis., on Nov. 15, 1915, and was a resident of the state of Idaho for more than 68 years, moving to Nampa from Silver City in 1929.  Judge Ben R. Riordan died Jan. 4, 1972.
    She is survived by two sons Richard L. Riordan and Dr. Ben R. Riordan, both of Nampa; three daughters, Marguerite E. Schweizer, and Mrs. John R. (Mary C.) Niland, both of Nampa, and Mrs.  George D. (Kathleen R.) Rosandick, Caldwell; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sister and one grandson, Kevin Patrick Niland, in 1956.
    Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mike Niland, Pat Niland, Tim Rosandick, Dan Riordan, Frank Riordan and Richard L. Riordan Jr.
    Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of the Rosary.
