Ramona Gonzalez

    Rosary for Ramona G. Gonzalez, 75, of Caldwell and formerly of Parma, who died Tuesday, March 22, 1988, at her son's home in Caldwell of natural causes, will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church of Parma with Father Raul Covarrubias of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Caldwell as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Parma Cemetery, Parma.
    Mrs. Gonzalez was born July 15, 1912, at Valle De Santiago Gto, Mexico, a daughter of Maria and Panfilo Garcia, where she was raised and educated.  She married Ramon Zavala Gonzalez on April 16, 1935, at Valle De Santiago Gto.  They later moved to Texas.  In 1959 the Gonzalez family moved to Parma.  She worked as a laborer and later for the J.R. Simplot Co. for 10 years until her retirement in 1970.
    Survivors include a sister, Jesus Garcia Murillo of Valle De Santiago Gto; two sons, Jose of Parma and Fernando Gonzalez of Caldwell; five daughters, Evangelina SanMiguel of Prosper, Texas, Alicia Hernandez of Morehead, Minn., Oliva Nelson of Parma, Olga Gonzalez of Boise and Maria Romero of Caldwell; 29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband and a brother died earlier.
   The family suggests that memorials may be made to the West Valley Medical Center, Hospice Program, c/o Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell, ID 83606.
    Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Caldwell Dakan Chapel.
