Services for Paul R. Fisher, 84, of Middleton, who died
Saturday, April 11, at the Caldwell hospital of natural
causes, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
Pastor Allen Nelson of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church
will officiate. Burial will follow at the Middleton
Cemetery.
Mr. Fisher was born Oct. 17, 1902, at Belgrade, Neb., to
William R. and Mary Dotson Fisher. His parents moved to
Idaho in 1903 and homesteaded on land below Lake Lowell.
He graduated from Huston School and Links Business College.
He married Louise Wright Jan. 8, 1921. They lived in
Nampa while he worked for Nampa Seed and Grain Co. They
later moved to Boise, where he was employed by Stephan Baking
C., the Idaho Highway Department, and was custodian for
Franklin School for four years.
In 1937, ho moved his family to San Jose, Calif., where he
was employed by a large department store as building
superintendent.
He returned to Idaho in 1948 to farm in the Deer Flat area
near Caldwell.
He spent the years before retirement as head custodian at
Middleton School. he was honored when they dedicated one
of their yearbooks to him.
He is survived by a daughter, Gertrude McHale of San Jose;
three sons, Arthur Fisher of Jolliet, Mont., Ellis Fisher of
Midvale and Wallace Fisher of Middleton; a sister, Ethel
Sprague of Boise; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren;
and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1974 and four
brothers. |
