Gonzalez, 14, of Nampa, died Sunday, June 19, 1994, at his
home. Vigil Services will be recited at 7 p.m. today, June 21,
1994, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. A Funeral Mass will
be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at St.
Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa, with Father Alfred Puccinelli,
S.M., as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mount
Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
P J Gonzalez was born on October 9, 1979, in Rupert,
Idaho. He attended Heyburn Elementary School in Heyburn and
East Jr. High in Rupert where he enjoyed playing baseball. In
1992 he moved to Nampa with his family, where he made his
home. He had completed the 9th grade at West Jr. High, and
was currently a sophomore at Nampa High School.
P J had made many accomplishments in his 14 years. He
received the Hispanic Parent Advisory Council Award and the
Presidents Academical (sic) Award for his 4.0 grade point
average. In 1993 he attended the Super Bowl in Pasadena,
where he got to cheer on his favorite team, the Dallas
Cowboys. He collected football cards and comic books. In
1994 he wrote an essay about his mother, through the Idaho
Press -Tribune, and because of his writing, she received
the 1994 - "Mother of the Year" award. He will be greatly
missed by his family and his friends. P J was a member of St.
Paul's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, June and Mark
Palmer, Nampa; his father, Lionel Gonzalez, Boise; 2
stepbrothers, Mark Palmer, Jr. and Christopher Palmer, both of
Nampa; 1 stepsister, Jana Palmer, Emmett; his grandparents,
Lupe Lara, Rupert, 2 and Vina Esquivel, Heyburn, Nancy and
Jarvis Palmer, Nampa. |
