Services for Mary L. Jordan, 85, of 675 S. 13th St.,
formerly of Nampa, who died
Sunday in a Boise nursing home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday in Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa,
by the Rev. Joseph Housh of the
Nampa
First United
Methodist
Church.
Interment will follow
in Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
She was
born July 18, 1896, in Huntsville, Ala.,
to William T. and Maggie J. Williams.
She moved with her
parents to Union, Ore.,
where she was reared and educated.
She married Charlie
Jordan on Dec. 27, 1919, in Union.
They farmed in the
Riverside Community near Marsing.
They also farmed in Nampa, Meridian
and Star. Her husband
died Dec. 5, 1951. She
managed Reed's Hat Shop in Boise for 10 years.
She retired in 1969.
She was a member of
the Methodist Church
and the Boise Women's Christian Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lillie) Young
and Mrs. Kelly (Gerre) Ryan, both of Boise; 10 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by two sons, a daughter and three brothers.
