Manuel Valdez Gomez

    Vigil services for Manuel Valdez Gomez, 18, of Wilder, who died December 13, 1992, of injuries received in an automobile accident near Caldwell, will be held at 7 p.m. today at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 18, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell.  Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder.
    Manuel was born April 19, 1974, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Raul Gomez and Rosanna Gomez Ramirez.  In addition to his parents he is also survived by four brothers, Jose, Raul Jr., Gilbert, Rene; a sister, Christina Gomez; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Valdez of Burley, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Jose Gomez Hererra of Zac., Mexico.
    When he was an infant, his parents moved to Caldwell.  Later his mother and siblings returned to Burley where he was raised and attended Burley schools.  He later returned to Wilder and resided with his father and attended Wilder schools.  He was very active in school and loved playing basketball. Manuel loved listening to music and alway s had a song in his heart.
    Manuel did not die alone that night. His fiance Maria Catalina Siordia died that night also.  Their desire was to be married March 13,1993.
