Minerva Brown Hein, 88, of
Greenleaf, died Thursday, September 8, 1994, at a Nampa
retirement center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday, September 13, 1994, at the Greenleaf Friends Church.
Pastor Donald Lamm will officiate. Private interment will be
at the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
Mary was born November 3, 1905, at Grants Pass, Oregon, to
William Andrew and Susan Emily Long Brown. She married Fay A.
Hein November 23, 1924, at Redmond, Oregon. During the early
part of their married life, they farmed in Oregon and Alberta,
Canada. They later made their home at Prineville and Gold
Beach, Oregon, and farmed at Sweet Home, Oregon, for a period
of time spending ten winters in Yuma, Arizona. They came to
the Caldwell in 1980 where they had since resided. Mr. Hein
died August 24, 1984.
Mary attended and was active in the Greenleaf Friends
Church and the Women's Missionary and Bible Study groups of
the church.
Surviving are her 6 children, Winona Nelson of Costa Rica,
Vernita Lowry of Jordan Valley, Oregon, James Hein of
Prineville, Oregon, David Hein of Crescent City, California,
Clarence Hein of Wamic, Oregon, and Karen MacKenzie of Jordan
Valley, Oregon; 23 grandchildren; and numerous
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her family suggests that memorials be made to the
Greenleaf Friends Church, the Greenleaf Friends Academy or to
a favorite charity. |
