Funeral
services for Marie Finch, 71, of Caldwell, who died Thursday,
June 27, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30
a.m. July 2 at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell.
Bishop Ronald Short of the Middleton First Ward of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
Interment will follow at Middleton Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Elgin, Idaho, to Henry and
Adelia Moon Cox. She was reared and educated in
Fairfield. On Oct 1, 1930, she married Grant Finch in
Hailey and the couple made their home in Fairfield. They
moved to Eugene, Ore., in 1941. She worked for the
Eugene Fruit Growers Association for 15 years. In 1959
they moved to Nampa. They returned to Eugene two years
later, where she continued her work for the Fruit Growers
Association. She graduated from Western Beauty College
in Eugene and worked there for several years as a beautician.
In 1972 they moved to Glenns Ferry, and then to Kuna, and in
1981 they came to Middleton.
She is survived by her husband Grant, of Middleton; two sons,
Donald of Middleton and Larry of Washington state; two
brothers, Marion of Springfield, Ore., and Clyde Cox of Boise,
Idaho; and two sisters, Luella Thurber of Rupert, Idaho and
Edna Sanders of Sarcoxie, Mo.; six grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
parents, a brother and two sisters. Memorials may be
given to a favorite charity. Friends may call at the
Flahiff Chapel in Caldwell from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday and
from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. |
