Lewis Friddle

    Lewis R. Friddle, 94, of Nampa, died Sunday, October 20, 1996, at a Nampa care center.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the rev. Russell Steiner, of the Melba Community Baptist Church, presiding.  Burial will follow at Melba Cemetery.
    Lewis was born on January 3, 1902, in Beattie, Kansas, a son of Marion F. and Maude E. Brouhard Friddle.  He was raised in Marshell County, attended school at Beattie and Gerther Barklow Thomas Schools.  In 1919 at the age of 17 years old he moved ot Ramah, Colorado, where he worked on the family farm.  In 1923 he moved to western Kansas, from 1933 to 1936 he lived at Melba.  Then in 1936 he returned to Colorado where he was engaged in farming.  In 1942 he moved back to Idaho and was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1944 until his retirement in 1965.
    Survivors include one brother, Raymond Friddle, of Stockton, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Muriel Friddle, of Limon, Colorado; several nieces and nephews including, Dick Friddle of Melba and Shirley Miller of Caldwell.
