Louise Herbach

Louise Herrbach, 87, of Boise, a former Nampa resident, died Thursday, April 23, 1992 at her home in Boise.  Vigil services will be celebrated at 7 p.m. today, April 26, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, at St. Paul's Catholic Church.  The Rev. Fr. Francis Springer, S.M., will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Louise was born May 4, 1904, at Selestat, Alsace, France, a daughter of Marius and Pauline Marshall Kempff.  She grew up and was educated in France.  She came to Nampa in 1923 at the age of 19 was married to Emile J. Herrbach, whom she had met in Paris, on October 17, 1923 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa.  They operated the Honker Cafe, managed Albertson's Coffee Shop and operated the Topper Tap Room in Nampa.  She retired in 1957 and enjoyed her family and church.  She traveled back to France three times to visit her family and friends.  Mr. Herrbach died May 20, 1963.  In 1989, due to failing health, she moved to Boise where she resided at Valley View Retirement Center for a short time.  She then lived with her daughter until her death.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and of the Legion of Mary and St. Paul's Altar Society.  More recently, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Boise.
    Survivors include a daughter, Polly Sproul of Boise; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Pauly Herrbach of Medical Lake, Wash.; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews in Canada and in France.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
    Friends may call from 1 until 9 p.m. today, and 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
