Jose Armando Hernandez, 43,
of Nampa, died Monday, October 17, 1994, in the Nampa hospital
of a gunshot wound. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m.
today, October 19, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday,
October 20, at Saint Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the
Rev. Father Henry Carmona as the officiant. Burial will
follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
Jose was born August 27, 1951, at Piedras Negras, Coch.,
Mexico, a son of Sabino V. and Juana Lopez Hernandez. As a
boy he came to the U.S. with his family. He had resided in
Nampa since 1965; grew up and attended schools here. He was a
good son and loving brother and loved to spend time with his
nieces and nephews. He was very much loved by all who knew
him.
He enjoyed his family and also enjoyed the outdoors and
fishing. He was a good "shade-tree" mechanic and liked to
work on cars and trucks. He had worked for several years in
the construction trade for various contractors.
Jose was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include his mother, Juana L. Hernandez of Nampa;
four brothers, Albert, Joey and Jamie Hernandez, all of Nampa,
and Sabino Hernandez Jr. and his wife, Arcelia, of Spokane,
Wash.; four sisters, Maria Hernandez and Hortencia Hernandez,
both of Nampa, Lupe Wissel and her husband, Mike, of Mountain
Home and Jane Cheeks of Ontario, Ore.; and many nieces and
nephews.
His father, Sabino Hernandez, and a nephew, Jesse Salinas,
preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the
Muscular Dystrophy Association, Inc., Sonna building, 910 W.
Main St., Boise, Idaho 83702, or flowers may be sent. |
