Graveside services
for John Duane Jenkins, 63, of Middleton, who died Sunday,
Nov. 30, at home of natural causes, will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday at the
Wilder
Cemetery.
The Rev, Gerald
Crownover of the First Assembly of God Church, Caldwell, will
officiate, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Mr. Jenkins was
born Dec. 23, 1922, at
Forsyth, Mo., to Joe and Ola Jenkins.
He was reared and
educated in the Arena
Valley
community near Wilder. He
served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He later lived in Chester. Calif., where he drove logging trucks for
several years.
He married Doris Marinelli July 28, 1962, at
Reno, Nev. They
came in 1962 to the
Caldwell
area. He drove logging
trucks for Morgan Logging Co. at Cascade for a short time and
worked for Orville Hartman near Parma for several years
until his retirement.
He was a life
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed hunting and
fishing. He is
survived by his wife of Middleton; a daughter, Diane Jenkins
of Middleton; two sons, Wayne and John Jenkins, both of
Reno; three stepsons, Larry Myres of
Martinez, Calif., Dennis Myres of Elko, Nev., and John
Marinelli of Middleton; three brothers, Henry Jenkins of
Corning, Calif.,_ Preston Jenkins of Weiser, and Clarence
Jenkins of Wilder; two sisters, Gladys Warren of Corning,
Calif., and Loreene Geisler of Idaho Falls; four
grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in
death by a brother and two step-grandchildren.
Friends may call
today until 9 p.m. at the Caldwell Dakan chapel.
