HOMEPAGE

John Geyer

Services for John Paul Geyer, 70, Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Feb. 6, at home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
The Rev. Robert Geyer of Caldwell will officiate.  Interment will be in the Greenleaf Cemetery.  Mr. Geyer was born May 9, 1914, at Blackfoot, the son of Norman Paul and Sarah Willan Raine Geyer. He resided in Blackfoot from 1914 until 1975, when he came to Caldwell to make his home with his brother, Robert Geyer, and his wife, Lucille.
As a young boy he helped his father on the farm.  For the past 40 years, he had been considered disabled.  Much of his interest centered in the geography of our country and world and the travel possibilities it portrayed, especially with emphasis on the animal life.  He loved to make friends with the animals he lived among.  He also loved to talk to others about these interests, or about local and world problems and politics.
He is survived by two sisters older than he, Virginia Geyer Vanderwood of Witchita, Kan., and Catherine Geyer Sine of Burlingame. Calif.; one brother and one sister younger than he, Robert R. Geyer of Caldwell and Mildred Geyer DeWeerd of Pennville, Ind.: and a goodly number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Dakan Funeral Chapel on Tuesday.
