June Jenkins

    Services for June I. Jenkins, 68, of Parma, who died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at her home of natural causes will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church at Roswell.
    Larry Ragains, assisted by The Rev. William Webster, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Roswell Cemetery, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Jenkins was born June 25, 1918, at Parma, to James and Idella McConnel.  She grew up in the Arena Valley area and graduated from Wilder High School in 1936.
    She married Merle Jenkins on Nov. 28, 1937, at Wilder. They lived and farmed in the Arena Valley area throughout their adult life.
    She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Phyllis Elfers of Seattle, Linda Sangster of San Francisco, Cheryl Henley of Sierra Vista. Ariz., and Lois "Bunny" Gunn of Panama City, Panama; nine grandchildren, Eric and Sandra Elfers of Seattle, Denise, Debra and Diane Sangster of San Francisco, Jennifer and Scott Henley of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Christopher and Jessica Gunn of Panama City, Panama; two brothers, Ben McConnel of Ontario, and Forest McConnel of Seattle; two sisters, Pearl Eidemiller of Caldwell, and Lois Dunagan of Seattle.
    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Ernest McConnel.
