Funeral services for Herman G. Ford Sr., 77, of Parma, who
died Wednesday, July 15, at his home of natural causes, will
be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
The Rev. Milo Wittkopf of the Franklin Community Church,
Nampa, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Wilder
Cemetery.
Mr. Ford was born Dec. 3, 1909, at Hebron, Mo., to John and
Vest Ford. He came to Idaho at the age of 10.
After four years he returned with his family to Missouri,
later moving to Kansas.
He married Bernice Hoots June 14, 1937, at Topaz, Mo.
They moved to the Parma area in 1947 where he was engaged in
farm related work. Mrs. Ford died July 16, 1974.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by a son, Herman Ford Jr. of Parma; two
daughters, Linda Carver and Phyllis Tetrick, both of Parma;
two sisters, Helen Crawforth of Parma and Lucille Stahl of
Watsonville, Calif.; a brother, Lloyd Ford of Parma; six
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, a
daughter and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the West Valley Medical Center
Hospice Program or to the Ronald McDonald House, Boise, in
care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell 83606.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell. |
