On October 28, 1994, Harvey Monroe Freeman of Wilder died at
West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell after a long illness.
He was 81 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 1994, at Dakan Funeral Chapel in
Caldwell. Plais Johnson of Parma will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
Harvey was born November 16, 1912, in Willow Springs,
Missouri, the son of the late Daniel and Ellen Freeman.
He married his wife of 61 years, Hazel Johnson, December 24,
1932, at Willow Springs. In 1935, Harvey and Hazel moved to
Arena Valley where he worked for Judge and Clyde Stewart for
47 years. When he retired in 1982 they made their home
in Wilder.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Johnson Freeman of Wilder; his
children, Darrell and Leona Freeman of Caldwell, Faye Sleight
of Letha, Eunice freeman of Wilder and Charles and Joyce
Freeman of Harrah, Washington; 16 grandchildren; 43
great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his sisters, Dela Morris of Caldwell, Molly
Freeman of Caldwell, Annis Clinton of Parma and Mabel Brown of
Parma.
Harvey was preceded in death by his mother and father, two
brothers, one sister, one grandson and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorials be made to
the Wilder Quick Response Unit.
Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 4
to 8 .m. Tuesday. |
