Rosary for Hugh Tom Harn,
69, of Boise, who died Thursday, March 28, in a Boise
hospital, were receited (sic) Sunday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel
of Nampa.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at St.
Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Merle J. Fisher,
S.M. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Harn was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Sacramento, Calif., to
Hugh J. and Margaret Sherlock Harn. He attended schools in
Fresno, Calif., in Tacoma, Kent, Yakima and Toppenish, Wash.,
graduating from high school at Toppenish.
He married Vera Roach on Dec. 12, 1940, in Mountain Home
and they made their home in Nampa. He was employed at Pacific
Fruit Express in 1939 and in 1941 was employed a s a trainman
by the Union Pacific Railroad. He was promoted in conductor
in 1965. He married Margery Parnell on Nov. 19, 1971, in
Winnemucca, Nev., and they made their home in Boise. He
retired in 1975.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Knights
of Columbus, a 35 year member of the United Transportation
Union and a 25 year member of Nampa Lodge No. 1389, B.P.O.E.
He is survived by his wife Margery of Boise; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Hugh Thomas and Merilene Harn Jr. of Nampa
and Michael Colin and Rosalinda Harn of Nampa: one brother,
D.J. Harn of Nampa; six grandchildren; six
step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in
death.
