PARMA – Services for Herbert L. Hedges, 85, Parma, who died Tuesday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parma Chapel by Rev. Paul Wadon of the Parma United Pentecostal Church.  Interment will be at Parma Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born Jan. 8, 1890, in Nashville, Mo,.  He later moved with his family to Lostine, Ore.  He married Minerva Winings of Lostine.  In 1911 they moved to Emmett and back to Lostine, before settling in the Parma area.
    Surviving are his wife, Parma; three daughters, Erylne Elsberry, Parma, Esther Roe, Tamarak, and Ellen Robins, Parma; two sons, James C., Parma, and Don, Bruneau; two brothers, Pascoe Hedges and Byron Hedges, both of Parma; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Bob, in 1971.
