Funeral services for Glenna
Rae Helt, 50, Caldwell, who died Friday, May 24, at her home
of natural causes, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at
the Ustick Road Church of the Nazarene in Caldwell. The Rev
Gene Hansen of the Ustick Road Church of the Nazarene will
officiate under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell. Burial will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 19, 1934 in Portland, Ore., to Raymond
and Eleanor Marquart. She was reared and educated in
Portland, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1952. She
married Leon Dale Helt on Sept. 20, 1952, and moved to
Caldwell that same year. She worked for several years as a
home health care attendant in Caldwell and for four years at
the College of Idaho. She was a member of the Ustick Road
Church of the Nazarene and her duties at the church included
decorating the communion table for church services, serving on
music committees and playing the piano for the children's
Sunday school.
She is survived by her mother of Caldwell; four children,
Connie Howard of Caldwell, Gilbert Helt of Nampa, Carla Helt
of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Cara Helt of Caldwell and four
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. The
family suggests that memorials be made to the Caldwell Ustick
Road Church of the Nazarene, 817 W. Ustick Road, Caldwell.
Friends may call Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday
from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
