Gertrude Kimzey

    CALDWELL Services for Gertrude Kimzey, 78, of Caldwell Route 1, who died Friday, will be conducted at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel at 1;30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Gerry Yeager of the First Christian Church.  Interment will be at Middleton Cemetery.
    Mrs. Kimzey was born Jan. 1, 1895 at Meeteetse, Wyo., and moved to Boise when she was 12.  She attended school there and married John Kimzey in 1912 in Meridian.  They homesteaded on the Boise River above Arrowrock Dam.  Mr. Kimzey died in 1935 and she moved to Middleton in 1941.
    She was a member of the Boise First United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Middleton Grange.
    Surviving are five daughters, Mary Sorensen of Santa Rosa, Calif., Edith Garrett of Caldwell, Esther Best of Priest River, Emma Garrett of Whitebird, and Nina Erwin of Oregon City, Ore.; two sons, Robert Kimzey of Star and John Kimzey of Woodland, Calif.; a brother, Phil Gehman of Hagerman; a sister, Ruth Clancy of Burns, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son.
