Francis Leroy Martin

    A graveside funeral will be held at the Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho, on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
    He was born April 6, 1914 in Phillips County, Kansas, to Claude and Iona Marie Dyer Martin.
    On February 10, 1936, he married Flora E. Helms at Phillipsburg, Kansas and they moved to Caldwell where they lived before moving to a ranch in Weippe, Idaho, in 1952. In 1974, they moved to Umapine then in 1976 moved to Pilot Rock, and finally in 1979, moved to Pendleton.
    Mr. Martin was a carpenter and engaged in homebuilding.
    He was a member of the Pilot Rock Seventh-day Adventist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Connie K. Purvis of Troutdale; a son, Larry L. Martin of Pendleton; a sister, Ruth Berry of Atkinson, Nebraska; a stepsister, Vivian Portenier of Parma, Idaho, half-brothers, Lawrence Tenborg of Concrete, Washington and Roy Tenborg of Solon, Iowa; and four grandchildren. His wife died in 1987.
    Burns Mortuary, Pendleton, is in charge of arrangements.
