Floyd Leroy Martin

    Floyd L. “Whitie” Martin, 67, of Parma, died Thursday, May 30, 1991 at the Caldwell hospital of natural causes. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the Parma Cemetery under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
    Mr. Martin was born June 17, 1923 at Woodruff, Kansas to Lee and Minnie Gipe Martin. At the age of 9 he came to Idaho with his family for a short time and they later moved to Nebraska, living near Arapahoe. They returned to the Parma area in 1936 where he had since lived. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II and had been awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.
    He married Emma Jane Gray, November 22, 1969 at Parma.
    Surviving him are his wife, Jane of Parma; a daughter, Sharon Lingenfelter of Portland, Oregon; two sons, Mike of Post Falls and Lonny of Parma; a stepdaughter, Jerri Eichholz of Caldwell; a stepson, Luther Brian Hall II of Harrison, Arkansas; two brothers, Richard Martin of Nampa and Forrest Martin of Parma; a sister; Mrs. Leo (Leota) Cox of Parma; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson and three step-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
   Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Parma from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
