Fred Birmingham

     Graveside services for Fred Howard Birmingham, 75, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, March 6, in his home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
     The Rev. David H. Schmidt, pastor of the Nampa Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate.
     Friends may meet at the cemetery.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
     Mr. Birgmingham (sic-Birmingham) was born on May 26, 1909, in Delamar to Howard and Leona Birmingham.  He was reared and educated in Delamar.  He married Mary Quintana in April of 1942 in Payette.  He served with the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II as an officer.
     They made their home in Marsing for many years where they owned and operated the Western Store.  Mrs. Birmingham died on July 13, 1973.  He then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, where he was employed until his retirement.  He had lived in Nampa for several years.
     Mr. Birmingham is survived by two sons, James Birmingham of Molt, Mont., and Johnny Birmingham of Nampa; three granddaughters, Michele, Shana and Jamie Birmingham; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother.
