Elizabeth Smith

    CALDWELL - Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson Smith, 66, Talent, Ore., who died Friday in a Medford, Ore., hospital, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the deer Flat Free Methodist Church by the rev. Harley Adams of the Melba Friends Church.  Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
    Born Feb. 7, 1902, in Colorado Springs, Colo., she came to Idaho with her parents in 1906.  She attended Deer Flat Free Methodist Church and graduated from Greenleaf Academy in 1921.  On June 5, 1921, she was married to A. Clark Smith at Greenleaf.  Active in pastoral work with the Oregon Yearly Meeting of the Friends, she served as pastor of the Melba Friends Church for 11 years.  She had lived in Talent, where she was pastor of the local Friends Church until retiring two years ago, since 1957.
    Surviving are her husband, of Talent; a son, Loren E. of Madison, Wis.; a daughter, Kathleen Rapp of Laglois, Ore.; two brothers, Edward E. Nelson of Homedale and royal S. Nelson of Modesto., Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Audney Bates of Caldwell, and four grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Dakan Chapel Tuesday afternoon.
