Emmett Frye

    Graveside services for Emmett Allen Frye, 85, Melba, who died Wednesday, July 18, in his home, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Melba Cemetery.
    The Rev. J. Harley Adams, pastor of the melba Friends Church, will officiate and graveside rites will be conducted by Melba I.O.O.F. Lodge 150.
    Friends may meet at the cemetery.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mr. Frye was born Sept. 1, 1898, in Caldwell, Ohio.  In 1907 he moved with his family to Kansas where he was reared and educated.  He married Bertha Coughlin Nov. 17, 1947, in Reno, Nev.
    They moved to Idaho in 1951 and to Melba in 1957.  He worked as a trapper for the government for a number of years in California and Idaho.  He was also a carpenter and did a lot of antique finishing on furniture.  He was a member of the Melba I.O.O.F. Lodge 150.
    He is survived by his wife of Melba; a daughter, Jean Sherbert, Glendale, Ariz.; one brother, Kenneth Frye, Melba; and several grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel until 9 tonight and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Melba I.O.O.F. Lodge 150, P.O. Box 146, Melba, 83641.
