Doris Josephson

    Services for Doris V. Josephson, 78, of Middleton, who died Saturday, December 7, 1991, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 1991, at the First United Methodist Church, Middleton, Idaho.  Pastor Lura Kidners-Miesen will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery, Middleton, Idaho, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Josephson was born March 3, 1913, at Idaho Falls, Idaho, a daughter of George A. and Nora E. Stevens Wasserman.  She was reared and educated in Idaho Falls, and worked for the J.C. Penney Company as a young woman.  She married Oliver A. Josephson on February 24, 1942, at Boise, Idaho, and they lived at Idaho Falls.  The farmed at Pinegree, Idaho, from 1947 until 1952 when they moved to a farm near Middleton.  Mr. Josephson died in 1988.
    Mrs. Josephson enjoyed gardening and cooking, but her greatest love was for her family.  She was a loving and giving person who never forgot a birthday, Christmas present or other special occasion.
    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Middleton; the Middleton Grange; and the Richland Community Club.
    She is survived by four daughters, Julia Stephens, Gayle King, Patty Pennington, all of Middleton, and Karen Swafford of Portland, Oregon; a sister, Gretchen Stahl of Caldwell; and nine grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
    The family suggests that memorials be given to the First United Methodist Church, Middleton, Idaho.
