Dixie Howell

    Dixie Howell, 65, of Caldwell, died Sunday, April 28, 1996, at a Boise hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Lt. Jonathan Aupan of Caldwell will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Wider Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho.
    Mrs. Howell was born April 21, 1931, at Wilder and was reared and educated there.  She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and the Salvation Army.  Dixie was actively involved in the Home League as a Hall Hostess.
    Surviving in addition to Mr. Howell are three daughters, Linda Miklancic and Sherry Schoonover, both of Homedale, and Elizabeth Perfect of Middleton; two sons, Ted Parker and Hurshel Howell, both of Caldwell; her mother, Viola Hoots of Parma; four brothers, Pete Hoots of Caldwell, Ted Hoots of Ontario, Charles Hunt of Vancouver and Ben Skelton of Boise; a sister, Betty Hoots of Corpus Christi, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
    The family suggests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
    Friends may call today from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
