Charles P. Kelly, 79, of Nampa,
died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1992, in
Boise
following a long illness. Vigil
services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel. Nampa.
A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at
St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Father
Alfred Puccinelli, S.M. The
Rite of Committal will follow at
Mount Calvary Cemetery,
Nampa.
Charles was born June 2, 1913 at Gary, Ind.,
a son of Charles and Mary McFarland Kelly.
He grew up and
attended a Catholic grade school and
Emerson
Public High
School from which he graduated.
He then worked for the
U.S. Steel Mill at Gary.
He married Dolores
Ruth Snyder on July 22, 1935, at
Valparaiso, Ind.,
and they made their home at Gary
until moving to
California in
1944. He worked as a
foreman for the Sunkist Lemon Growers in
Corona.
He retired in 1962 as a result of an injury received
in the steel mills. They'moved
to Nampa
in 1980.
He was a member of St. Paul's
Catholic Church and had been a member of the Knights of
Columbus in
California.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores of Nampa; a son and
daughter-in-law, James P. and Sally Kelly of Miraloma, Calif.; a
sister, Margaret Wigley of
Mesa,
Ariz.; seven grandchildren and
fifteen great-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one
sister.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9
a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
