Rosary for Cletus J. Heck,
46, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1988, at the Nampa
hospital, will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at
Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa. Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Paul's
Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward J. McMonagle, S.M. will be
the celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery,
Nampa.
Mr. Heck was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Dickinson, N.D., a son
of Frank L. and Juliana E. Sticka Heck. He began his
schooling at Sheffield, N.D., then moved with his family to
Nampa in February 1957. He continued his education at St.
Paul's Catholic School, West Junior High and Nampa High
School. In 1961, he sustained spinal injuries in a tumbling
accident resulting in paraplegia. He graduated from Nampa
High School in a wheelchair in 1962. He was employed at
Western Idaho Training Co. for a time until his health failed.
He was then confined to a nursing home.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, an
auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and was formerly a Boy
Scout.
Survivors include his father, Frank L. Heck of Nampa;
seven brothers. Edward Heck of Victor Idaho, Cornelius,
Frederick, Curt, and Myron Heck, all of Nampa, Francis Heck of
Spokane and Blaise Heck of Nyssa, Ore.; three sisters, Mary
Curtis of Walla Walla, Juliana Mayes of Nampa and Grace Ivy of
Bend, Ore.; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and
nephews. His mother and a brother, Ted, preceded him in
death. |
