Clara Godbout

    Funeral services for Clara E. Siegenhagen Godbout, 90, of Homedale, who died Thursday, June 7, 1990, at the Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.  The Rev. Clare Wilcutts will officiate. Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder.
    Mrs. Godbout was born Feb. 9, 1900, in Enid, Okla., a daughter of Herman and Ida Siegenhagen.  She lived there as a small child and traveled with her family to Kansas by covered wagon.  She was educated in Axtell and Beattie, Kan., where she met and married Lloyd Godbout on Dec. 5, 1919.  They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 5, 1989.  They raised their family around Summerfield, Kan., and moved to Wilder in 1943.  She lived in the Wilder-Homedale area all of her life.  Mrs. Godbout's life was that of a loving wife and mother and a hardworking, loving homemaker.  She loved to socialize with her family and friends.
    She attended the Friends Community Church in Homedale. She is survived by: her husband of Homedale; a daughter, Darlene Thomas of Ridgeview, Ore.; two sons, Kenneth Godbout of Boise, and Norman Godbout of Garden Valley, Idaho; two sisters, Elsie Weis of Caldwell, and Iva Morris of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
    Friends may call today from 1 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
