Services for Brent Benson Ford, 20, of Parma, who died
Saturday, June 7, in a Boise hospital of injuries sustained in
an auto accident, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the
Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Parma.
Rollie Wilson of the Nampa Christ Cowboy Ministries will
officiate. Burial will follow at the Parma Cemetery,
under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Ford, a horse trainer and rodeo cowboy, was born Dec. 25,
1965, at Caldwell to Lloyd and Margaret McDaniel, Ford.
He graduated from Parma High School and attended college for a
year at Blue Mountain Community College, Pendleton, Ore.
He was active in High School Rodeo Association District II,
and had won numerous buckles and trophies.
He was District II champion calf roper in 19832, 1983 and
1984, reserve all-around champion in 1983 and 1984, and went
on to win cow cutting for the state in 1984. He was
Western state calf roping champion in 1983 and 1984; he went
on to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in the Youth National
Finals, winning fourth place both years.
He was a member of the ICA Rodeo Association, NRA rodeo
Association, and a member of the Eastern Idaho Rodeo
Association.
He is survived by his parents of Parma; a brother and
sister-in-law, Brad and Brenda Ford of Parma; his maternal
grandmother, Thelma McDaniel of Parma; a niece, Kristen Ford
of Parma; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kimie Renae Ford.
