Blanche Brown |
Blanche Harshman Brown, 89, of
Parma, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at a Boise hospital from
injuries received in an automobile accident. A viewing will be
this evening (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Wilder Cemetery with Rev. Richard
Cox of Golden Gate Baptist Church, Wilder officiating. Family
and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
Blanche
was born April 9, 1917, at Caldwell, to Foster and Bertha
Roedel Harshman. She married J.L. “Bud” Brown Aug. 11, 1934.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers,
quilting, crocheting and time spent with family and friends …
she loved life. Being the second to the oldest of a large
family, she mothered many of her younger siblings. She was the
kind of person who was the first to want to help someone in
need.
Blanche was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed by
all who knew and loved her.
She was a member of Golden Gate Baptist
Church, Wilder, Center Point Club, Notus Historical Museum and
Pleasant Ridge Grange.
She is survived by her children, Dale
(Betty) Brown, Louise Rhoades and James (Lynn) Brown; 13
brothers and sisters including Barbara (George) Kelso; a
son-in-law Glen Breshears; and numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband
J.L. “Bud” Brown; a daughter Maxine Breshears; a son Bill
Brown; and an infant daughter.
The family
suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity. |
