Anna Marie Roedel Winslow, 91, of
Greenleaf, Idaho, departed to be with her Lord on January 22,
1998, of natural causes.
She was born on August 9, 1906, at Verden, Nebraska, to Jacob
and Christine Roedel. While she was a small child they moved
to the Marble Front area east of Caldwell where she resided
until she married her husband of 42 years, Oren I Winslow on
25 October, 1934.
During her lifetime she was involved in many activities. She
was a member of the Greenleaf Friends Church where she sang in
the Choir, was on numerous committees and taught Sunday school
She was a Member of Greenleaf Home Makers Extension Club and
as well as Canyon County Home Extension Counsel. She was
active in the Pleasant Ridge Grange, Canyon County Pomona
Grange, and Idaho State Grange, and a member of the National
Grange.
Her hobbies included Oil Painting and Bowling. Anna was from
a Family of sixteen children.
Her death was preceded by her husband, an infant son, and by
thirteen brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two children, Linda Wheeler, A.C. Winslow
and his wife Linda. Two sisters, Louise Roedel and Sophia
(Peg) Benton, two sister-in-laws, Etta Roedel and Helen
Crosiam, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, numerous
nephew, and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January
26 at the Greenleaf Church. Viewing will be on Sunday, January
25 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in
Caldwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to either the
Greenleaf Friends Academy or the Greenleaf Friends Church. |
