Alva Johnson

    Graveside services for Alva Major Johnson, 72, Nampa, who died Friday, May 24, in a Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Parma cemetery.
    The Rev. Paul Nickens of the Parma Revival Center will officiate under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
    Mr. Johnson was born April 2, 1913, at Milan, Mo., to John and Manilla Shato Johnson.  He was reared and educated at Missouri.  He married Erma Holdt on April 16, 1940, at Ava, Mo.  The couple made their home at Seymour, Mo., until 1946, when they moved to the Parma area.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; three sons, Howard of Parma, Ernest of Buhl and Norman of Nampa; two daughters, Faye Ferguson of Parma and Katherine Riley of Nampa; one sister, Beulah Wheeler of Milan, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one sister, two sons and one granddaughter.
    Friends may call at the chapel today from 5 to 9 p.m.
