Services for Ada Johnston, 96, of Helena, Mont., and
formerly of Parma, who died
Sunday, Nov. 22, in a Helena
hospital of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Parma.
Dr.
James Moore of Caldwell will officiate.
Burial will follow in
the Parma Cemetery,
under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Johnston was born April 14, 1891, at Lincoln County,
Wash., to Robert and Louisa Warwick
Magill.
She married Fred M. Johnston Sept. 21, 1911, at
Dayton, Wash. They moved to Parma in 1919 where Mr. Johnston was employed
by the local newspaper. She
worked for Parma Water Lifter Co. for nine years.
Mr.
Johnston died in 1947.
She had recently moved to Helena, to be with her
family.
She was a 60-year member of the Order of Eastern Star,
where she was past matron. She
was also a member of the Kirkpatrick Church of Parma and had
served on the library board for many years.
She
is survived by a son, Kenneth Johnston of
Helena; eight grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She
was preceded in death by a son, Marvin, two brothers and a
sister.
