I am researching the Jordan family. I found Arthur Jordan in the 1930 Iowa Census, Concord Township. His son William is my children's grandfather. William was adopted when his father died, his mother died previously. The adoption had to be with 18 months of the 1930 census. Do you have any information on Arthur Jordan? The census is hard to read but it states he is 89 years old - which seems a little old to me.
