They had a son AARON H. EDWARDS b. abt.1872 he married in 1891 to a VIOLA CENORA (Ole) COOK b. 4/17/1874 in MO- d. in Harrison Co.,MO. they had my Grandfather ELZIE C. EDWARDS b.3/22/1892 in MO---- There may have been a Thomas Edwards also. I could sure use some help on this family. Is there anyone that connects also, with this family. I am currently searching for information on my husbands grandparents paternal and maternal. They lived on a farm outside of Coin, Page County Iowa for all of their lives. MARTIN EGGERS; b. February 18, 1866 in Neuendorf bei Wilster Germany, died 1927 in Coin Iowa. m. ELISE MOMM; b. October 21, 1882 in Burg Bithmarschen Germany, d. August 8, 1950 in Coin Iowa.

  • Anna Eggers, b. Oct. 12 1911 m. Ernest REINERT
  • Rudolf Eggers b. February 7, 1918.

Searching parentage of Sgt. John ELKINS, Civil War patriot, b 1835 Martin Co., IN, m Sarah Jane Blagrave 12-28-54 Orange Co., IN. Moved to Page Co. about 1856. Blacksmith and farmer. Lliving on farm in Page Co. when he enrolled 8-9-1862 in Co. F 29th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. d 3-26-1865 Ft. Gaines, AL. Children:

  • William H. ELKINS; (m. Cora Landon),
  • Mary L. ELKINS; (m. Alonzo Snodgrass), and
  • Esther Surilda ELKINS; (m Alfred Burch Snodgrass).

Believe some descendents of Mary L. (Elkins) SNODGRASS were Flo S. Miller and Burt Snodgrass. John Elkins mother may also have been living on a farm in Iowa at the time of his death.

I am in search of any relatives I may have out there. The surnames I am looking for are MOMM or MOMN, ENGLE,and MULLER. Anna Marie MOMM or MOMN was born on Fevruary 27,1886, Berg, Holstein,Germany. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the age of 14 and later changed her membership to the Methodist church in Coin,Iowa. She was the daughter of Marcus and Kathryn MOMM or MOMN. She was my grandmother, who came to the USA on a cattle boat when she was 16 years old,{about1902} with her Sister, Elise Eggers. They landed at ELLIS Island. They then went to Iowa, and in 1908 she married her first husband David Simpson, of Westboro, Missouri. They had one son Roy Simpson,born in 1909. David died within the year. In 1913, December 31, Anna married 2nd Hallie "Pete" Dewitt ELLIS of Coin,Iowa. He was the only house mover in Iowa. They had two childern, one son, Hallie Nelson ELLIS {my Dad}, born July 2, 1917, and one daughter, Kathryn ELLIS born in 1915. Anna pasted away on September 8,1940, in Clarinda, Iowa. At the time of her passing she had two married sisters still living in Germany. Christine ENGLE and Frida MULLER.
